Be a Sponge

Published in

There are many times a fellow writer reads of another's success and wish, "Why can't that be me."  I'm sure there are times when you sat back from the computer after editing your work in process yet another time and wondered "What did she/he do that made an editor/agent/publisher take notice?"

The answer is simple.

They kept on going.  When it all seemed like a complete and total waste of time, money and mental anguish, they took it further.  They never stopped believing that something could happen for them. Maybe they read everything they could get their hands on to teach themselves more about the business side of writing?  Do you think they might be active in a writer's group and share their knowledge with new writers?  Have they joined up with the social media needed to get their name out there?
